Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili , Mr. Giorgi Gabunia and Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili were invited to the UTEF, Festival of Literature in Istanbul, Turkey. They attended the opening ceremony of the festival that was founded in 2014 and takes place annually. Founder of the festival is Mrs. Esma Ala Turkman.

Writers, poets and playwrights from all over the world have been visiting the festival since the day it was founded. GSU is an eager participant in the event. The festival was dedicated to Shota Rustaveli, Ilia Chavchavadze, Vaja Pshavela, Otia Ioseliani, Nodar Dumbadze, Ana Kalandadze and Tariel Karkhelauri over the years.

Host of the festival: Istambul Beyoghlu National Library. The book presentation took place at the festival, supported by the Consulate of Georgia in Turkey and translated by Mr. Harun Chimke. the collection of prose is written by Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili. Mr. Zakaria Megrelishvili, Mr. Giorgi Gabunia, Mr. Sefer Karahmetoghlu, Mrs. Esma Ala Turkmen, Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Mr. Harun Chimke, Mr. Orhan Beridze, Mr. Eshref Ilmaz, Mr. Bolent Ozgen, and Mr. Ali Kemal Kilich gave speeches at the event. This year’s festival was dedicated to late Tariel Putkaradze’s , his work and contribution. Turkish writers, members of the Georgian diaspora , local high officials and interested persons attended the event.
