On October 9, 2025 an awards ceremony took place at GSU for students, graduates and public school students.

The ceremony opened with words of greeting from the rector of the university, who pointed out the significance of students’ involvement, active participation and awareness of university projects and activities. Such initiatives help to raise motivation and civic responsibilities among students. The university remains the cradle to implement ideas and initiatives of students, and aids them in their endeavors. -he added.

Mr. Zurab Zurabashvili, Mr. Davit Kvernadze, Mr. Gia berdzenishvili, Mrs. Lela Aleksidze, Mrs. Ketevan Barbakadze, Mrs. Tea Khorguashvili, Mrs. Maka Nutsubidze, Mrs.Eter Berikashvili also gave opening speeches and congratulated students on their success.

Following GSU students were given awards for their dedication and hard work to successfully implement such projects: Elene, Tsertsvadze, Giorgi Razmadze, Khatia Godelashvili, Lizi Falelashvili, Lizi Qarelishvili, Mariam Mekvabishvili, Mariam Tielidze, Rati Chutkerashvili, Salome Mekvabidze, Lasha Nikolishvili, Lika Narikashvili, Mariam Modebadze, Nia Shatakishvili, Rati Shushiashvili, Salome Kakiashvili, Salome Jashashvili, Sofo Tsitsagi, Keti Stefanishvili, Tsitsi Gudadze, Mariam Sadaghashvili, Mariam Niniashvili, Vladimer Totladze.

The faculty of Humanities organized Essay Competition “ May 26- the road to freedom” winners were:

First place -Gela Sadaghishvili

Second place-Ketevan Bolashvili

Third place-Ani Korinteli, Bela Kulumbegashvili

School student winners in Georgian-language Essays

First place-Nodar Kolatashvili, Tkviavi public school

Second place-Keti Shubladze, Georgian-German School, Tbilisi

Third place-Nikoloz Bedianashvili, N6 public School, Gori

 

English-language Essays

First place- Mariam Tediashvili, Breti public school

Second place- Bagrat Jabauri, N12 Public school, Gori

Third place-Gvantsa Shatberashvili, Breti public school

Participant in the project” Humanities science and art”, organized by the faculty of Humanities were given special certificates: Maka Shiukashvili, Ketevan Lomsadze, Iza Kharibegashvili, Giorgi Tandiashvili, Bela Kulumbegashvili, Vladimer Totladze, Salome Mekvabidze, Lana Chagelashvili, Nino Gogiashvili, Mariam Tskhovrebadze, Mariam Urigashvili.

 

Year 2025 happens to be the most productive for GSU sportsmen. Students of GSU were awarded various medals for their achievement in:

Davit Chechelashvili- Gold medal winner

Nika Zangaladze- Silver medal winner

Saba Ghambashidze- Bronze medal winner

Judo

Tengiz Khidasheli-Gold medal winner

Aleko Kasradze- Silver medal winner

Winners were given certificates, memorable gifts and were awarded with Givi Khachidze scholarship and Tengiz Khidasheli , Gold medal winner, was given a free tuition pass- a decision made by the rector of the university.
