The Austrian Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research once again announces scholarships for students, graduates and researchers for the 2027/28 academic year. The scholarships are advertised through the Austrian Database for Scholarships and Research Grants, www.grants.at (in German and English). In addition to scholarships offered by the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research, the database also provides information on scholarship programmes offered by other institutions.

In addition to scholarships offered by the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research, the database also provides information on scholarship programmes offered by other institutions. The individual scholarship programmes are offered, subject to their respective conditions, to applicants from the following countries of origin:

Ernst Mach Scholarship — Worldwide - Target countries: worldwide Ernst Mach Scholarship for Studies at an Austrian University of Applied Sciences - Target countries: non-European countries (and Ukraine)
Ernst Mach Follow-up Grant (Development Cooperation) - Target countries: non-European developing countries (according to the DAC List)
Ernst Mach Scholarship — ASEA-UNINET
Details of these programmes can be found in the relevant entries in the scholarship database at www.grants.at. The total number of incoming scholarships to be awarded by the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research in the 2027/28 academic year amounts to 1,300 scholarship months.
