On January 16, 2015 according to the resolution N09-139 27.10.2014 of the Academic Council of Gori State Teaching University, rector elections were held at Gori State Teaching University. There was only one candidate for the elections. Academic Council discussed the action plan and the concept presented by the candidate and as a result of the secret ballot, Giorgi Sosiashvili was elected to this position.
