On December 8-12, 2025, Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili and Mr. Zurab Zurabashvili visited Vatican city. Within the framework of the visit, GSU delegation held a work meeting with Don Flavio Belluomini, Vatican City Director, Archive Propaganda Fide, and Dr. Valentina Karakhanian, historical archival expert. Parties addressed the matters of restoration and conservation of four-valuemed historical documents, depicting some fragments of Georgian history that are of great importance to our country. The project is financially supported by the Shota Rustaveli National Scientific Fund and Tamaz Bekaia Educational Fund. Mr. Davit Meqvabishvili, ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Holy See and Mr. Levan Bekaia, the chairman of Tamaz Bekaia Educational Fund also attended the work meeting.
