On December 11, 2015, Turkish-Georgian conference was held at GSTU. It was opened by Giorgi Sosiashvili,-rector of the university. Giorgi Khorbaladze,-chancellor of the university, Eldar Mamistvalashvili,- head of the archeological scientific center, Harun Chimke,- head of the department of the Georgian language and literature at Recep Tayyip Erdoghan University made speeches at the conference.
