the International Symposium for young Georgian and Turkish historians

On April 27, 2023 the International Symposium for young Georgian and Turkish historians took place at GSU. The symposium was organized by the university and Turkish Historical Society. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili opened the event and gave a lengthy talk on Georgian-Turkish relations, pointed out the significance of such events and wished participants success. Mr. Ibrahim Tellioghlu, Mr. Roin Metreveli, Mr. Suat Kolukirik, Mr. Shalva Kirtadze, Mr. Eldar Mamistvalishvili, Mr. Otar Janelidze and Mr. Kakha Kvashilava also had given speeches before the actual work started. 15 students from 14 different universities  such as: GSU, Sokhumi State University, Batumi State University, the National Center for Manuscripts, National Library, Georgian University, Pamukale University, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Jandarma Academy (Ankara), Ankara University, Nineteenth of May University, Kojatepe University, Caucasus University, Istanbul University participated in the symposium. The symposium will last for 3 days and special certificates will be given to participants.
