On November 17, 2017 GSTU hosted the 10th International Scientific Conference “ Internationalization of higher education: challenges and perspectives”. It is a jubilee conference for the university and was opened by Giorgi Sosiashvili. the rector of the University gave a brief speech on a ten- year tradition of the conference, always has been held at GSTU and the university’s acceptance of challenges and unwavering strive for success. He congratulated warmly Mr. Gedevan Khelaia, Mr. Vianor Akhalaia and Mrs. Klara Elchibegashvili,-academics who held the chair previously , on the anniversary year of the University and mentioned their merits towards GSTU. Zaza Japaridze, Mariam Miresashvili, Tsiuri Duruli, Klara Elchibegashvili, Levan Midodashvili, Giorgi Khorbaladze, Eldar Mamistvalashvili gave speeches at the conference. Prof. Vianor Akhalaia gave a speech during the plenary meeting. After the plenary meeting work was carried out in sections. 176 speakers presented 149 article at the conference.
