Social Inclusion Center
10 April,2023With financial support of the Embassy of USA in Georgia, a Social Inclusion Center was opened at GSU, the aim of the center is to fulfill social inclusion of Gori Municipality children with disabilities and support their parents.
Tasks of the project:
To create adapted Persons with disabilities -friendly environment at GSU, where various events and activities will take place.
To give GSU psychology students opportunities for research and to develop experiences in the field.
To implement parental support (psychological support for parents)
To plan and implement social awareness campaigns.
To strengthen independent skills in the children with disabilities.
To work on the academic skills of the children with disabilities.
To work on psycho emotional development of the children
Social center works on week-end and 70 children are involved in the project.
Following lessons take place in the center: Art therapy, speech therapy, handicraft and music. Psychologists and special teachers are actively involved in the working process.
