On December 17-18 GSTU organized a scientific conference, dedicated to the 100 anniversary of Otar Chkheidze. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, a rector of the university welcomed participants ant talked about the history of the university, Otar Chkheidze’s place and role of creating the history, he remembered his first meeting with the writer, his impressions of beloved author. Participant universities were: GSTU, Sokhumi State University, Kutaisi State University, Zugdidi State University, Kutaisi State Historical Museum, doctors of philology etc. Presented 21 theses reflected the work of Otar Chkheidze in different aspect and views. Writer Rostom Chkheidze attended the conference and made comments on presented works.
