On October 18, 2019 Mrs. Lali Cipi Michael , representative of Ben Gurion University visited GSTU. Parties discussed and made plans for future relations between two universities. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, rector of the university, made an announcement about upcoming event: the center of Jewish studies will be opened at GSTU in the near future. The center will strengthen Georgian Jewish relations within the perspectives of education and science.
