On February 13, 2017, Rector council meeting was held at GSTU. The meeting was led by Aleksandre Jejelava, Minister of Education and all members of the council were present. Various subjects, such as how to attract international students to Georgian Universities, matters of funding and scholarships, new ways of faculty funding, educational program quotas, educational program accreditation deadlines etc. were discussed during the meeting.
Rector council meets couple of times annually were they discuss and settle many important and time sensitive issues in the field of education. Aleksandre Jejelava offered to held each meeting at different universities as it is a good opportunity to get to know Georgian universities life, studying process , problems and achievements of each and every one of them up close.
After the meeting was over, guests met with students and attended the concert , were students of GSTU performed.
