On May 31, a public lecture on the role of an independent judge in jury deliberation – the American and Georgian Experience. The lecture was opened by Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili and was led by Mr. Levan Darbaidze and Mr. James Bodiford and Mrs. Ana Harris. Issues concerning the independence of judges and matters of jury institution, based on American and Georgian trail examples were discussed during the lecture. The subject caused great interest among students, teachers and lawyers. Stream of lectures are fulfilled with support of  The U.S Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.
