A book , written by Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili , is published by Gori University. The book is about Kirion II, Catholicos Patriarch and , Egzarkos Vladimir's journey in Shida Kartli. Egzarkos Vladimir (Bogoyavlenski) visited Shida Kartli in 1897. He was appointed by Russian synod and sent to Georgia, Shida Kartli , where he stayed for couple of days and visited 49 churches. Villagers, the riches, the noblemen and poor peasants alike met him. Egzarkos studied conditions in villages and even visited academy. Hegumen Kirrion ( later Kirion II) made records of his visit and later published it in an ecclesiastical newspaper in Russian . Couple of years later writings were published as a book. Kirion II used initials E.K when publishing the book and as it was a rare book, Gori University publishing house decided to publish it in Georgian. the author of the book thinks that it will be a delight for historians and voracious reader as well.
