Monograph “Literary and Cultural History of Tskhinvali”, written by Prof. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, rector of the GSTU, has come out recently.  The monograph tells us about literary and cultural life of Tskhinvali from XIX to XX cc. The author points out important details of Georgian-Osetian and Georgian-Jewish literary and cultural relationships, essential moments of city's science, education, media   and theater life   in the 20th century; nuances of deep cultural or ordinary life traditions, which have somehow declined over the years. 700 pages long monograph includes photo archive, notes and literature, resume and index. Considering that, Tskhinvali is the part of occupied territory, the monograph will be a grate help for readers, interested in grave matters of Georgian- Osettian relationships.
