international reading day

On February 2, 2022 Giorgi Makharoblidze literature café eagerly participated in the literature marathon and organized an event, dedicated to the international reading day. This time, the Invited guest was Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, winner of Saba award for the best short story collection. At the meeting, the writer talked about  important nuances of the writing process,  four short stories are included in the collection and Mr. Sosiashvili reviewed the plot of the stories, characters, their individuality,  nature and common features of all characters , despite the different aspects and circumstances they live in.   Writer has an unmistakable signature while describing his characters and their points of view. He uses rich dialect, spoken by Liakhvi people, and  painstaking details, which tells us the writer’s vast knowledge of the history of the region,  pain and joy of the people who live there. Each story is narrated with love and precision and authenticity of  the stories  makes them captivating for readers. Students, teachers and interested persons attended the event and asked the writer various questions at the end of the meeting.
