International Art Festival “Matchabeli” has taken start
18 July,2023On July 18, 2023 International Art Festival “Matchabeli” has taken start, organized by GSU. Festival is a winner of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Project and offers various fascinating events to society. Masterclasses are led by Georgian and invited artists.
Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Mr. Giorgi Khorbaladze, Mr. Ioseb Chumburidze, Mrs. Ketevan Kokrashvili, Ms Hadas Ester Meitzad, Mrs. Fabiola Albaneze, Mr. Shalva Kirtadze, Mrs. Nunu Mitskevich, Mr. David Razmadze among other guests attended the opening ceremony . Kanudos, the GSU jazz-band performed with chelist Dea Kheoshvili. Art lovers indulged themselves to listen to various artists from Georgia, Israel, Germany and France. The first masterclass was led by Mr. Guram Tsibakhashvili, the second panel was led by designer Mr. Irakli Nasidze, name of the workshop” Soul- garment of nations”. In the second half of the day, the audience watched fragments from the documentary “ Musketeer’s Tbilisi", based on Alexandre Dumas novel “ Caucasus”. After the show, director of the movie Mr. Giorgi Chumburidze reviewed details, preconditions and ideas of the movie-making process. The festival is considered as a juxtaposition of Photography and documentary. Mr. Gilad Reichenbaum led the masterclass named One song and one picture (interpreter: GSU student Natia Shatakishvili). At the end of the eventful day, German Photographer, Mrs. Eva Brendshtater gave a talk on her journey to the Caucasus region, her exhibitions and impressions.( interpreter: GSU student Mariam Simonishvili). Folk band “ Gori” performed on the second-half of the day's events. As a conclusion, Mr. Giorgi Khorbaladze and Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili summed up the first day's activities.
