24 June,2023

GSU carries on the project Archeology of borderline territories with young. On June 24, Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, Mr. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili (project coordinator), Mr. Giorgi Mindiashvili, Mr. Davit Inauri and history students visited the archeological site. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili and Mr. Gogi Mindiashvili gave a brief review of the schedule of archeological excavations. The project is timely as village Nikozi is located near the borderline and scientists have found traces of ancient living quarters at the site. Fulfillment of the project will raise awareness and motivation among students and future historians and scientists. Artifacts will be displayed at the digital exhibition, scientific articles will be prepared and a short video will be presented with a photo gallery through the internet. The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and has been carried out since 2021.
