On October 19, 2018, Gori University participated in the greening action organized by Shida Kartli Regional Governor. Saplings were planted in the refugees’ settlement in the Verkhvebi area. The goals of the action were to rise environmental awareness, promote greening and popularize the topic of ecology.

Mr. Giorgi Khojevanishvili, Shida Kartli regional governor; Mr. Konstantine Tavzarashvili, Gori Mayor; Mr. Davit Razmadze, Head of Gori Municipal Council; Professor Giorgi Sosiashvili, Gori University Rector; Professor Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Deputy Rector; Professor Giorgi Khorbaladze, Head of Administration; Faculty Deans and Students all took part in the action.
