On March 20, 2014 Gori State Teaching University hosted a meeting with Ms. Simone Wolken- special representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Ms. Nino Kajaia- public relations advisor. Gori State Teaching University Rector Prof. Giorgi Sosiashvili met the guests. Parties discussed perspectives of understanding and agreed that they would collaborate in joint organizing of International Summer School next summer. After the meeting Ms Simone Wolken held a public lecture on “Activities of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Georgia”.
