
expedition of Georgian literary Language
06 May,2019On May 4,5, 2019 bachelors of philology and Masters of Georgian literary Language were in expedition and explored gorges of Liakhvi, Lekhura and Ksani, villages: Ditsi, Karbi, Arbo, Mereti, Gugutiant Kari, Koshka, Kordi, Aghaiani, Okami, Samtavisi, Kvemochala. Students made records and notes on historical and ethnographic characteristics of residents and filmed old churches, located in different parts of Shida Kartli. The project will have continued through 11th of May. Students planned out another trip to villages Doesi, Sasireti, Kavtiskhevi, Tvalididi, Igoeti for the same purpose. 20 students participate in the project. After they are done recording other villages, gathered information will be processed and systematized and results will be published as a book. Mrs. Mariam Koberidze , head of the Master’s educational program in Georgian literary language organized the outings, coordinator of the activity is dean of the faculty Mr. Ioseb Alimbarashvili. The project is financed by GSTU, within the framework of university grant.
