On November 21, 2017, GSTU hosted the celebratory event,- the 80th anniversary of Jemal Injia. Evening was opened by Prof. Giorgi Sosiashvili, in his speech the rector mentioned poet’s lifelong dedication to poetry and translations, his invaluable role in literary work of the university. Other speeches were made by Giorgi Khorbaladze, Zaur Tsakadze, Akaki Bizinashvili, Nunu Otarashvili,Valeri Sukhishvili, Ioseb Chumburidze. Mr. Jemal Injia thanked the audience for their kind words and appreciation. At the end of the evening poet read out some of his poems and a documentary about the life and work of the poet was shown to the audience. The same day, a new auditorium named after Jemal Injia was opened at GSTU. There is a library stock exhibited In the auditorium, previously belonged to the poet.
