On May 28, 2021 GSTU hosted an international scientific conference, dedicated to 60th birthday of renown historian Yosef ( Soso) Alimbarashvili.  35 Professors and lecturers from all over Georgian universities ( GSTU, TSU, Georgian university, Iliauni, Tsereteli University for oriental studies, Kutaisi State university, Sokhumi State University, Samtskhe-Javakheti State university, BSU, Shota Rustaveli institute for Georgian literature, international center for Christian studies etc.) and abroad (Poland, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey)  participated in the conference. Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili, Mr. Sergo Vardosanidze, Mr. David Kolbaia, Mr. İbrahim Tellioglu, Mr. Musa Kasimli, Mr. Eldar Mamistvalishvili, Mr. Omar Ardashelia, Mrs. Lia Akhaladze Mr. Kakha Kvashilava gave opening speeches,  reviewed professor’s lifelong work and devotion toward Georgian source-studies, historiography, history of Georgian military, Caucasus studies, studies of Georgian villages etc.  After the first part of the conference, participants continued working in  4 sections, various subjects that had not been  properly researched and studied , were presented at the conference. Such as the relations of our nation with Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan. The conference was carried out through an online platform and conference addresses will be published as  a scientific collection at GSTU publishing house.
