
A new monograph is published at GSTU

A new monograph has come out by Prof. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili and reviews life of Tskhinvali during 1918-1921, when Georgia become a democratic republic. The monograph is dedicated to 100 years of democratic republic and it skillfully depicts history of ordinary, political, cultural life of the city. Author reviews newspaper articles from 1918-1921 periodicals, which shoes educational, economic, military and religious life of Tskhinvali. Author touches modern conflict between Georgians and Ossetians and effused about history of the conflict, groundless so called Ossetian genocide, striving for democracy and lessens of Ossetian revolution. Mr. Mghebrishvili used several research materials and documents, unknown to this day. The monograph also touches the painful subject of modern conflict, as parts of Georgia is considered an occupied territory and thorough, untainted facts from the history of our country is timely and informative.
