A memorandum of collaboration was signed by UNICEF and GSTU on July 29, 2021.  UNICEF Georgia Representative, Ghassan Khalil visited the university, the visit was hosted by Mr. Giorgi Sosiashvili who gave a tour for guests around the premises and informed them about the university's strategy, plans and mission. Parties agreed on opening  Children's rights center, implementing means for joint conferences and seminars. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Ghassan Khalil and Mr. Abiko Abesadze visited the center, created with UNICEF’s financial support.
