On March 7, 2018, an celebratory event took place at GSTU. the evening was dedicated to 70-year Jubilee of Klara Elchibegashvili, a professor of the university. It was opened by Prof. Giorgi Khorbaladze , who gave a lengthy talk on her lifetime dedication to her work and to the university. Other speakers were prof. Aleksandre Mghebrishvili, Prof. Eldar Mamistvalashvili, Prof. Ioseb Chumburidze, Prof. Marika Sherazadishvili , Prof. Marine Tsertsvaze, Prof. Paata Kurdadze, librarian Mrs. Manana Aslanishvili, mayor of Khashuri Municipality Mr. Giorgi Guraspashvili, the head of student theatre Mr. Anzor Gvadzabia, Mr Mamuka Nadiradze , Eter Tomadze etc
